Dr. Heidegger's Experiment

Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment was written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I learn a lot after reading this story. The part I like is when Dr. Heidegger’s four guesses drank the fountain of youth and became younger than before. They were too happy, but became foolish at the same time. They wanted to drink more and became younger. But after the water of youth was all on the ground, they became old again. Dr. Heidegger learned that we cannot go back to the past; we cannot be young again, do things we did not do or we regret to do. We cannot go back and change our mistakes we made before. Those four guesses, on the other hand, did not learn the lesson; they even wanted to travel to Florida to find the Fountain of Youth.
